“What’s Better For Gout: Cherries? Or Celery?”
(click the image to play the audio)
A lot of people know about using cherries for killin’ gout and some people know a lot about using celery for killin’ gout – but not as many as of those that know about cherries. That’s why I needed to do this gout conference call.
One thing to mention right away is that evidently, studies have shown that tart cherries are better than black or any other type of cherries. But, if you can only get something other than tart cherries or tart cherry juice, just get it and get busy. Cherries are packed with a specific category of antioxidants called anthocyanins and flavonoids. These antioxidants are very anti-inflammatory when they come from the right sources.
In addition to all the great good stuff about cherries and how they can help to reduce the pain and swelling of a gout attack, is the super hero work that celery can do for eliminating gout attacks and help prevent them from returning. Celery also works as an anti-inflammatory but additionally it can help with kidney function and the excretion of uric acid, as well as act like a xanthine oxidase inhibitor, much like the drug Allopurinol.
Something special about celery is called 3nB – 3-nbutylphthalide – which is what gives celery it’s unique aroma – as well as it’s power. Celery can be used in different forms; fresh, or the celery seeds, or celery seeds ground up and powdered and put in capsules.
In short, both cherries and celery are very mineral-rich, alkalizing foods and both are loaded with anti-inflammatory antioxidants.

My good friend David Freund got on the call and the conversation gravitated to more than cherries and celery for gout to other difficulties. We touched on the subject of Advanced Biostructural Correction – a very specialized chiropractic technique. At some point I will show how chiropractic has a place for being very helpful with gout – tune in!

Bert Middleton, The Original Gout Killer
“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good! And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.”
Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life.
Prescription drugs were of limited help…
And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible.
Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now.
Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle via their website TheGoutKiller.com
Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours.
And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD!
So you can finally start LIVING again!
