- Acid-Alkaline Balance, Good Foods For Gout, gout diet
As a former gout sufferer, understanding the importance of the acid-alkaline balance of the body is a critical component for an effective gout diet.
Minerals in the foods and the water we drink that move us either in the direction of acidity or alkalinity and how that has a big effect on our acid-alkaline balance.
Moving toward greater and greater acid-alkaline balance can be accomplished in many ways. Eating healthy dark chocolate and drinking massive amounts of ionized alkaline water are two of many.
Who better to ask than David Wolfe
David Wolfe is considered to be one of the foremost authorities on live-food nutrition. He explains the acid-alkaline balance here in his distinctive, casual style and makes it easy for anyone to understand.
Roots, Seeds, Muscles
David did a great job of painting the image of this with the example of steak, potatoes, and peas or corn, or . . . muscles, roots, and seeds. The use of herbs and seaweeds in salads and soups work out well to maintain that acid-alkaline balance. Also, brain fog and irritability in the late afternoon hours disappears quickly when the focus on alkalizing is applied.

MY tophi when away!!!! It was there for a month, then it started leaking, I pressured it, rubbed it, and the clear gel came out, then a little blood, now it’s gone. My finger looks normal. (except for the inflammation it has) In January I changed my diet; no meat, very little chicken, lots of veggies, tofu, fish, lots of alkaline water, lemons, and of course walking 3 or 4 times a day about 2 miles each day. I keep busy with yard work, washing my car, being positive. I take a combination of gout, joint, kidney, liver, and multi-vitamins. I read a lot about gout in your blogs and website, all over, and I prayed. My gout is gone. I just have arthritis on my fingers, sometimes my feet hurt when I walk. Oh also, no BEER, but I still have some now and then. I’m continue to do everything above – I’m not changing back to my old way of eating and my ‘couch potato’ ways. Thanks to you for inspiration too!!! I know people with gout are far worse than I was and it was scary seeing those pics of their feet.
PS: I never went to the Dr. or took any kind of meds. ALSO I bought a ‘grounding mat’ , read about it, it works.

Pain and Acid-Alkaline Balance
This point about the connection of pain and body pH should be pondered more often was brought forward by David in a new and fresh way. When loading up on alkalizing antioxidants, one of the first things people comment about is that the first thing to go, is stiffness and soreness. Within weeks, aches and pains can vanish and within months, painful chronic gout attacks can be a thing of the past.
The question to ponder is: “why doesn’t western medicine put any focus on the acid-alkaline balance of our bodies and what that has to do with our health or lack of health?” It is always important to keep in mind and remember: there is no money in keeping people truly healthy.

Bert Middleton, The Original Gout Killer
“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good! And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.”
Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life.
Prescription drugs were of limited help…
And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible.
Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now.
Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle via their website TheGoutKiller.com
Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours.
And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD!
So you can finally start LIVING again!
