“Paleo Diet? For Gout?”

line-breakThe reason I wanted to do this gout hangout about the concept of using the Paleo Diet for gout, is two fold:

    • We eat way to much sugar and refined carbohydrates these days and that in and of itself is the bigger reason for so much gout in the world today and,
  • When we focus on eating plants and animals, we get the nutrient dense foods our bodies recognize in the right “package”. 

At some point it’s going to become impossible to ignore – PROCESSED FOODS ARE KILLING US. When we go in there and change the molecular and genetic make up of our foods through all this processing – all for the purpose of making them “convenient” – we create substances that our bodies don’t recognize at the cellular level. In fact, at that level, those “foods” get perceived as invaders and the immune system goes berserk.

I followed the four hour recipe to help the pain. It worked but took a lot longer and I ended up doing the bs and acv for two day.

Since then, it has all disappeared. I had never heard of gout in the elbow. That was my second bout of gout. In the big toe and the elbow.

Horrible. I do want to get rid of it completely. I believe that exercise and diet are probably the key factors. I can’t buy it yet, but I do want to.

Thank you Bert for helping me get rid of the pain, I did not want to take any pills again.

The Paleo Diet Is All Meat?

All too often however, people always think of a Paleo Diet as being lots of meat and not much else – wrong! Think of Paleo man – do you think he had an easier time grabbing a handful of plants and munching on them or clubbing down a water buffalo? Exactly. They probably ate a heck of a lot of plants…and we probably should too.

The focus should be about getting the right ratios of carbohydrates, (from the right sources), good healthy fats, and proteins (and don’t forget high quality water) – that’s what the Paleo Diet is all about and that is good for gout.

This idea has been clarified for me by my study of the book, “The Wahls Protocol”, where Dr. Terry Wahls puts it more like this:

We aren’t trying to recreate exactly what cave men ate as a diet. Rather, our bodies are more biologically the same as they were then, and replicating the way they ate and what they ate is what our bodies recognize and use at a cellular level. The result is that it creates good strong health, as she and millions of others continue to prove.
