- Exercise For Gout, Gout Treatment, what to do about gout
Yes, yoga for gout! Interestingly enough, I had a great yoga class today and it inspired me to write a post about it. “Humility” was the word of the day and I thought that fit fairly well because of all the times I’ve been “humbled” by gout.
Yoga For Gout Websites
If you Google around even a little bit, you’ll easily find some great “yoga for gout” websites that relate why and how good yoga can be as a treatment for gout, and how to do it.
Our friends at Find Your Fate have a nice list of specific “Yoga for Gout Poses” and they really had some excellent insight about why yoga is so good for us, gout or no gout;
“When a person is performing an asana, there is a corresponding balance between his movements and stillness. If performed in a right manner, these Yoga poses or positions help to tone muscles, lubricate joints and massage the body. Not only this, the asanas also enhance body endurance and increase flexibility. These postures bring physical and mental stability, along with health and vigor; they exercise the nerves, glands, ligaments, and muscles. It is observed by medical practitioners all over the world, that people, who perform yoga daily, have lower blood pressure, treating gout, improved flexibility, better sleep, better concentration, better coordination and an improved digestion.”
Yoga For Gout…and Better Health Overall
Because I mismanaged my gout for so many years, doing yoga for gout prevention was not just a good idea, it is a requirement for better quality of life in my later years.
This is what I’m always saying to all my friends; “You gotta be ready for the Big Day…” – meaning all those 22″ Powder Days – so I’m not just doing yoga for gout – there’s way more to it than that! I want to be doing yoga for gout, powder skiing, mountain biking and a lot more till I’m 100!
Doing yoga for gout is just one of the many things we can be doing beyond just watching how much high purine food we eat.
☆ Remember! Yoga for gout is one of the easiest things you can do!

Bert Middleton, The Original Gout Killer
“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good! And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.”
Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life.
Prescription drugs were of limited help…
And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible.
Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now.
Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle via their website TheGoutKiller.com
Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours.
And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD!
So you can finally start LIVING again!
