Gout Speak?

"Gout Speak?"  As you and I are trying to figure out just exactly what gout is, I am wondering:  Am I talking your language?

Does what I have to say about gout and the way I say it, makes sense to you...?  This is my own little personal study about how to "help-the-most-people-the-most", when it comes to gout.

gout speak

Gout Speak...can you hear me now?

Along the way, I came across a guy name Tom "Big Al" Schreiter - I actually met him once at a presentation he was giving.  This amazing little guy is SO funny, you can't help but listen to him and what he teaches makes so much sense, and it all has really valuable "everyday life" application.

Big Al is an MLM guru (I'm not an advocate of MLM but have had my share of getting tangled up in them) and he has a CD set I've listened to a bunch of times - VERY entertaining.

His information has been quite helpful for trying to help others understand information and concepts in any area of life.  And since you and I are all about killing your gout, I am trying to learn all I can to help you.

Gout Speak...by color?

I was looking for a good reference for Big Al's personality colors, I found this woman Tracy and her blog, Simplify Me, and this article she did about these four personality colors.  Just a heads up; I have always been easy to identify as a BLUE - when I started TGK, my goal was to "entertain you through the pain" - then, I became a certified nutritionist and became more of a YELLOW.  Here's the short version of how the personality types are described as a color:

  • REDS

...like to be in charge, want the quick short version (of everything), "show me the money"

  • BLUES

...are all about the party, just want to have fun - aren't too concerned about the details

  • YELLOWS

...want to take care of everybody - generally people like nurses and care givers

  • GREENS

...want ALL the facts - VERY detail oriented and want ALL the information before making ANY decision

What color is YOUR gout speak?

That is what I want to know - What Color Are You?

When it comes to gout, are you one of those folks that need to know EVERYTHING about why you got gout and WHY every little pill or trick is going to work?

Do you just want to know what to do so you can get back in the action?  (like getting back to work and being able to take care of your family?!)

Or are you the care giver to someone you love that is struggling with gout?

Lastly, are you one of those with F.O.M.O. types - "fear of missing out"? ...is the party raging on without you and you're stuck, wincing and whimpering on the sidelines and your just want to get back in there?

Leave a comment below - I want to know how to help you AND, probably a lot of other folks out there are going through the same thing you are and your story is going to go a long way in helping your fellow gout killers!

Bert Middleton, The Original Gout Killer

“I know your pain.  Let me help you kill your gout for good!  And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.”

Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout.   Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life.

Prescription drugs were of limited help…

And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures.  His marriage was suffering.  His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible.

Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain.  And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.

Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now.

Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle via their website TheGoutKiller.com

Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours.

And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD!

So you can finally start LIVING again!

About 3 years ago I had a bad gout attack on my elbow. I was home alone doing laundry at the same time, our washing machine shakes so bad sometimes that you have to place your hands on it to hold it down. I found that the vibrations from placing my hands on the vibrating washing machine took the pain away from my elbow. I later started using a battery operated shoulder massager on any of my gout attacks and works great. There must be a certain frequency of vibrations that loosen the uric acid from the joints. Just wondering if anyone has researched a specific frequency that is most helpful for gout? I keep seeing devices like Dr, Ho's muscle tensor,......possibly something for gout? Anyways, always love reading your posts.

WOW! Valuable info Michael and thanks for the kind words! That is a very interesting experience and experiment - a theory that needs greater testing - I wonder how I can do that?!! I have always thought that cold laser therapy could be a good resource for ending a gout attack, but it's been so long that I've had the opportunity to test (thank GOD!) it, I need to find a way to make that happen. Thank you again - All The Best!

Thank you Mary! As for budget foods, my go-to is always produce - fresh vegetables and a little fruit, usually berries. I typically make a pot of vegetables that I can do all sorts of things with throughout the week. Either that or I roast a couple pans of veggies and do the same thing. Some sour cream and high quality cheeses fill in the blanks. Small amounts of fish, chicken, and sometimes grass fed beef are my proteins other than nuts and eggs. Check this post I did a while back: https://www.thegoutkiller.com/blog/gout-diet/diet-for-gout-sufferers-2/ Thanks again!
