- Gout Habits, What Is Gout, what to do about gout
For months at time you can really be “in the flow” and gout is completely off the radar, but then suddenly, almost out of nowhere…BAM!
Then, you’re out of sync and hopelessly trying anything and everything to get back – back in the “flow”, back in the…Tao of Gout.
Where Does Gout Come From?
This question is really just an extension of, “what it gout?” but with a bit more of an esoteric kind of a feel to it. That’s the kind of intimate relationship that you develop with gout after you’ve gotten to that place of surrender – when you finally admit to yourself, “gout’s got me and they ain’t no gettin’ away from it”.
It’s kind of sick really. If you don’t learn to work with it you can develop a seriously unhealthy victim mentality. You develop that same kind of subservient relationship with gout akin to what hostages or people that have been kidnapped go thru; you start groveling just so it doesn’t hurt you again. Do you know what I mean? Of course you do.

Hey Bert, sorry for the late response but like you were I am in construction myself so I get up early and get home late,I have been struggling with this demon that calls himself gout for about the last 3 years and never had it attack my knee before and WOW!!! What pain that was, I thought my big toe was the worst it would be but I was wrong, the remedy you have came up with work out,I have always been taking that Same ACV on a daily bases but not on that level you recommended with the baking soda hahah who would of thought that would work, I would love to never feel this pain with gout again because this last flare up was by far the worst I have felt,it was deep in the knee and I am still feeling it when I try to bend down it feels tight like I pulled a muscle but is going away, I am walking again and hopping I never go thru that again. So there U go Bert that’s my situation as of now and the formula defiantly works for the pain! Thanx and I am very interested in how to kill it for good!

How you/we/all of us, can fall into that kind of weird headspace is pathetic. Gout is not the boss! Who’s gout is it?! It’s YOUR gout and you can do with it whatever you please – you created it and you can keep it on a leash or in the cage…if you want to. Do you “want” to?
That is the real questions isn’t it? It’s not, “what is gout?” You and I both know “what” it is: It’s the late nights, the booze, the bad food, the dehydration, it’s the overwork, it’s the stress, it’s lack of exercise, it’s the ____________, fill in the blank. Stop and think about it for just one minute: What is causing you to have this ongoing problem with gout? Why, haven’t you changed your ways?
Habits. It all comes down to habits. So this one will stop you in your tracks:
- Habits are created by what you think.
- What you think is influenced by what you believe.
- What has INFLUENCED what you BELIEVE?
Ah yes, at the root of it all…our beliefs have created our gout problem for us. Ponder that one and get back to me. In the meantime, Leo Babauta has 7 little habits that can change your life that you need to know about – click and be free!
The Tao of Gout…or, How We Roll Around Here
This is what I want to ask you to do:
- Change Your MIND!
Just because some doc who’s never had gout and is a puppet of the pharmaceutical industry and his malpractice insurance, said you will never get over gout without the pills he’s giving you, is DELUSIONAL! Change your mind! Show him he’s wrong. Show your gout who’s boss. “Flow” away from gout – breathe deep, drink good water, eat real food, stress less, avoid toxic chemicals at every turn, exercise daily, and sleep deep.
☆ Remember! The Tao of Gout is all about the “flow” …of your body’s innate wisdom keeping you in perfect health.
SHARE THE LOVE!

Bert Middleton, The Original Gout Killer
“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good! And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.”
Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life.
Prescription drugs were of limited help…
And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible.
Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now.
Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle via their website TheGoutKiller.com
Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours.
And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD!
So you can finally start LIVING again!
