- How Do You Get Gout, what causes gout, What Is Gout
How do you get gout? For most people, it is a difficult process that comes quite easily. Fortunately there are some simple answers (what causes gout?) and some simple solutions.
When gout attacks for the first time, “how do you get gout?!” is often shouted out in a loud and angry voice. But right after the how do you get gout question, comes the question, how do you get rid of of gout?
How Do You Get Gout the First Time?
The most difficult thing to understand about how you get gout for the first time is that it has been in process for many years in the making. It is an over-abundance of uric acid in the bloodstream that has crystallized in a joint that is causing the excruciating pain. However, uric acid is not the only acidic substance that the body, and more specifically the kidneys, have to manage.
Toxic acidic substances make their way to the inside of the body through the mouth, the nose, and by being absorbed through the skin. Also, there are many different acidic materials that the human body makes itself for it’s own needs and uses. Uric acid is one of them; it is a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect the lining of the cardiovascular system and other tissues. It becomes a problem when it is not eliminated.

How Do You Get Gout From: Lifestyle Choices
It is correct to say that gout starts in the head. Gout occurs because of the decisions and choices that are made:
- Poor choices or decisions about eating processed or fast foods add to the problem.
- Not monitoring or maintaining proper hydration is another.
- Accepting poor air quality and shallow breathing habits helps to create how you get gout.
- Allowing stress to be a predominate factor is an understated reason that brings on the condition of gout.
…From: High Purine Foods
Gout can be caused by eating purine rich foods. Most of the foods that have significant levels of purines in them are protein sources like meats and beans or legumes. The process of breaking down or metabolizing purines creates uric acid, so it is wise to eat 80% alkaline-forming foods and 20% acid-forming foods.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are alkaline, meats and proteins are acidic. It’s important to know that most people have trouble with gout due to eating overly processed foods, not high purine foods.
…From: Toxic Environmental Chemicals
The Disease of Kings started in old time England not because of rich foods and alcohol but because of Lead; lead plates, utensils, vessels for drinks and wine. It was called Saturnine Gout caused by Lead Poisoning. Many of the baby boomer generation grew up with leaded gas, lead paints, lead pipes and more. This is how you get gout from toxic chemicals – it causes poor kidney function and kidney disease.

Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life.
Prescription drugs were of limited help…
And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible.
Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now.
Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle via their website TheGoutKiller.com
