“What To Eat For Gout!”

2pm MST, Thursday, October 9, 2014…Be There!

line-breakGout…what the heck is it?  I mean really, what is it?  Maybe you don’t really care – what you want to know is what do I do about it?  How do I get rid of it?!  That is exactly why I am doing these Gout Hangouts!  You’re in the right place, at the right time!  haha!

The biggest question that always comes up is…

…what should I eat, or what should I not eat?  Here’s the problem: Most of the time, we are all told to avoid red meat, shellfish, and alcohol, especially beer.  This is sound advice but not the whole story.  For the most part, eating a high protein, therefore a high purine diet, moves you in the direction of gout, no doubt about it.  However, for most Americans (who are getting gout today) it’s not so much that they are eating so much meat, but that they are eating incredibly low quality, nutrient devoid foods.  These foods are slowly interrupting the way their bodies process and use the nutrients that (aren’t) in those foods.

So we aren’t processing our foods that well in general, not breaking down the proteins correctly, it directly or indirectly creates an excess of purines, and that creates a problem further down the biochemical line.

So after all that…

…that purine load that has been metabolized into excess uric acid, has to be monitored and managed by the kidneys.  To be sure, uric acid is not the bad guy – it is actually a very important and necessary antioxidant that needs to be in our bloodstream in proper amounts to protect the lining of our entire cardiovascular system.

What Is The Answer?

Properly Prepared Nutrient Dense Whole Foods.  Single ingredient foods.  Foods like an apple, broccoli, lettuce, oranges, bananas, Brussels sprouts, bell peppers, tomatoes, wild caught salmon, free range chicken, grass fed beef, onions, garlic, beets, green beans…do I need to go on?  Foods that don’t come in a box, bag, can, or bottle – the foods that don’t come with a label!

Stop Gout Pain Now

I don’t really want to recap or transcribe the whole video for you – it is a pretty good discourse on gout and what to do about it if I do say so myself!  Please watch it!

☆ Remember:  What to eat or not eat for gout is just the beginning of you kill gout project!

Bert Middleton

“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good!  And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.” Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life. Prescription drugs were of limited help… And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible. Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain.  And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.

Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now. Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle. Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours. And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD! So you can finally start LIVING again!
