- gout prevention, How To Control Gout, what to do about gout
Ok, I know – what possible connection could gout have with the Summer Solstice?
The only connection is that we all know the day of the Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, BUT some of us gout veterans would say otherwise; I’ve had days of battling vicious gout attacks that I thought would NEVER end – the longest days of my life! You too?
Alrighty then – we’re going to “make our own connection” with the Summer Solstice…and the Fall and Spring Equinox’s and Winter Solstice as well! Gout prevention takes on many disguises.
The Turn of the Seasons
I’ve decided that I wanted to share a secret with you about something my wife and I always do on each of the Solstices and Equinox’s – we have our “Sacred Circle” – we take the day off, talk about our life together and our relationship, and then go do something fun out in nature. This ritual has not only helped us get through a lot of tough relationship challenges but it’s become a way to deepen my relationship with myself…which as The Gout Killer has EVERYTHING to do with gout!
As each season passes, I not only review my own personal progress with killin’ gout, but also what I’m accomplishing for…YOU!
The True Holidays
(by now you’re pretty curious how I’m going to tie this all together aren’t you? keep reading)
Just in case you haven’t noticed, there’s always another made-up, hyped-up holiday coming on every time we turn around – for most it’s just another excuse or event to drink too much and waste money. Here’s another perspective I’d like to offer; the Earth, the Universe, the Cosmos…there is a very defined natural order to life as we know it – and we just happen to be an unmistakable, integral part of that order.
And, our bodies also have a natural order. But because we have so many options and distractions, not many of us really pay that much attention to the natural order of the way our bodies work. We work too hard, eat the wrong stuff, never drink water, watch TV instead of exercising and the list goes on. What does it take to pay attention to our own natural rhythms?
I not only follow your page and your advice, but I have not had a bad gout attack in months. I just forwarded your page to a friends sister who is need. Thanks man, if you wonder whether your efforts make a difference, I’m here to say they do.
The Summer Solstice = Gout Prevention
My proposal: This Summer Solstice, next Fall Equinox, next Winter Solstice, and next Spring Equinox, I want you to do this…Stop. I want you to stop, take the day off and go do something outside for most of the day – no matter what’s going on with the weather.
Find a nice quiet place and stop, and breathe. Feel the rise and fall of your chest and belly with every inhale and exhale. How does it work? Why do we breathe? When we take in that oxygen and release that carbon dioxide, how well is your body using it and getting rid of it?
- You see, breathing is the most basic thing we do – and some of us do it better than others! It’s a learnable skill that has a direct application for killin’ gout; the better you breathe the more well oxygenated your blood is, and the more well oxygenated your blood is, the less acidic it can become…with uric acid.
The point is…pay attention to your body and how you’re running it. Be appreciative for how well it works and take responsibility for when it doesn’t. Be grateful that your body is an AMAZING piece of machinery that just needs TLC to keep on going.
☆ Remember! Another chance for you to kill some gout is coming up this Friday, June 21st…The Summer Solstice!
SHARE THE LOVE!

Bert Middleton, The Original Gout Killer
“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good! And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.”
Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life.
Prescription drugs were of limited help…
And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible.
Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now.
Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle via their website TheGoutKiller.com
Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours.
And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD!
So you can finally start LIVING again!
