Health awareness prevents gout…and the lack of it causes gout.

This is where you’re either going to beef up your  health awareness and move forward and past your gout…or I’m going to lose you.  We all either get gout…or prevent gout, there’s no in-between.

You’ve got gout. Or more correctly, you’ve had episodes of having it in the past. The most important thing to know is, it didn’t just happen to you – you gave it to yourself. You’re not a victim, it didn’t just single you out and descend upon you. You created it. It’s yours, you own it and it is yours to be done with. It’s your choice, it always has been, stand up and take responsibility for it. Your health awareness is your job.

Hi Bert thanks for the reply. I thought that as well don’t rely on the pill poppin’ cuz I have given up on the allopurinol, and all those pills I was swallowing last year.  It’s been great.  I also have taken note of the food table you have on your site.  I want to add that I eat the foods that are on the table but all moderately – not at the huge plates I use to have before.  I start my day every morning with my baking soda and water drink before eating.  My weight has dropped with all my exercise and I now weigh in at 110 kg.  And, my pants size has dropped from 125 cm to 110!  Keep your posts comin’ – it’s been great and they help me understand BEATIN’ DOWN THE GOUT….. Getting Gout and Getting Done With Gout…

…is completely up to you. We live and die by our habits. Are you ready to put some attention on improving your health? I want to try to make this part of the website an even more “real world, everyday” way to help get our minds wrapped around how to bring more a little more health awareness to get beyond the gout condition we have.

I say “we” because this is helping me maybe even more than it’s helping you: I’m really having to “walk my talk” now, so I’d like to give a huge Thank You! to you for reading this. Researching and writing this has caused me to “pull my head out” and, consequently, my health to skyrocket.

“Awareness” about your health is the first of many natural remedies for gout, but here are some specifics about a few of them that most people (and most doctors) don’t really pay much attention to:

Breathing…

Eating…

Sleeping…

  • Breathing.

So, you think you know how to breathe? I’ll bet you don’t. (I don’t either, I’m learning too!) Click on the link, there’s a lot to learn and even more to think about.

Start there, then we’ll graduate to maybe taking the time to get our better breathing habits working when we are out walking and exercising and other physical movement. Exercise is an important part of boosting your health awareness and keeping the gout away, but right now we are just working on creating habits.

  • Eating.

We’ve spent a lot of time on this one and there is an enormous amount of great information out there about this, so if you need to, click on the link and review. But just to reiterate real quick right here: Avoid anything that comes in box, bag, can or bottle. And it’s not only what you eat, but how much and how often.

  • Sleeping.

Kind of like breathing, sleeping covers sort of a broad range of importance in our quest for better health – click on the link and dig in deeper.

Something that goes hand-in-hand with sleeping but might seem a little off track is time management. How are your “organizational” skills? I know this is a touchy subject but I don’t know a better way to bring it up.

Kids, clients, weather, traffic, the phone, and who knows what, all too often seem to be beyond our control. All I can say is, I’m not, and you’re not, a Victim, and the world isn’t “doing it to us”.

It’s a decision: “I’m going to bed at 10 and I’m getting up at 6.” It may take a few try’s and some reorganization to get it down, but, what the heck…what else are you going to do? Decide.

Sleep…or rest, is an huge part of letting your body recover and heal up and grow stronger from all kinds stresses we create for ourselves: Hormonal, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Get good at getting it, it’s another habit we need to form.

   Be aware, be gout free.
