Hours turn into days, days turn into weeks…don’t tell me weeks have turned in to months long gout attacks for you?! The thing that doesn’t get talked about all that much as we’re trying to figure out gout, is that it’s really hard to be in that much pain for so long. Can you relate?
Way, WAY Out with Gout!
In the early days of The Gout Killer website, my logo was a meat cleaver. (but I was told people thought it was a cooking website) I came up with that because so many times when I had gotten gout attacks, I had the thought of chopping foot off to relieve the pain. Unsolicited I got people saying, “man, it hurt so bad I wanted to chop my foot off!”
I thought a meat cleaver would be a good logo. Check out the video below, the intro is good for a big fat laugh. Back in those days, I was trying to “entertain your though the pain” – leave a comment below and let me know how I did! haha! This will get you chanting “out with gout!”
“I’m Worn Out with Gout…”
If you’ve had gout for a while, you’ve heard all the jokes and probably been called “gout boy” often enough. But after you’ve been alone for days with your foot propped up, making little noises like a wounded animal, it ain’t so funny. Drinking glass after glass of water and then hobbling to the bathroom to pee every half hour becomes an ordeal. Looking out the window at a beautiful day, people jogging by and riding their bikes out there on the street while you lay there hostage to gout…it really starts to work on your mind. You ask:
-
“Is It Ever Going To End?”
After every home remedy know to man that doesn’t work, you turn to the hard stuff. Back in the day, I remember taking the Indomethacin that had been prescribed, with no relief. A few hours later, I would take the Colchicine that had been prescribed for me…with no relief. A few more hours after that, I would turn to 800mg of ibuprofen…no relief. Astonishing that this was all happening since I had been consistently on Allopurinol for years. But here’s the really scary part though – all that hardcore medication is is not good…

…for a guy with only one kidney…
The pain of gout is indescribable to those who’ve never had it. With that physical pain comes a mental and emotional toll. It grinds down your self esteem. It can make you feel hopeless about the future. You start thinking about all the things you need to do and would like to be doing, and you get embarrassed about how you’re going to explain all this gimping around to those who ask. In a quick word, gout is…
-
Depressing.
What can you do? There are medications for gout and there are medications for the depression that was caused by your gout. Is that really the direction you want to go? Me either.
Long ago, I had to make a decision. Was I going to just go on getting gout all the time, or go on drugs for the rest of my life? I had already tried the drugs and that didn’t work. The decision was…I’m going to find a way. And I did. And then I thought, “hey, I better tell every one else…” And that’s how The Gout Killer website got started in 2009.
I tell you all this because…you can do this. I won’t be easy. I will take a MASSIVE amount of commitment and discipline. It can be done. I’m living proof.
Killing your gout is going to be a work in progress. You will have to get busy and experiment. I you will find the things that work. Then your body chemistry will change due to all kinds of environmental influences, and the things that were working, won’t anymore. You will have tough out the pain, and start all over. What else can you do?
What a difference!
Hey Bert, I have been on an alkalizing kick since my bout with gout. I feel great all over and lost weight, to boot. I took what you said and magnified it and applied it to my situation. I had to give up some dead end pleasures and replace them with forward thinking improvements. What a difference it made. Thanks for getting me on the right path to recovery and reversal.

Let Me Help You Out with Gout
I came up with a few ways to get you out of a gout attack. That’s great. What I really want to help you with is to NEVER get gout again. None of this stuff is magic – just common sense. But if you’ve been unsuccessful at dealing with your gout by yourself, (which is why you’re here) so it’s time to check out what my take on it is.
I’m not going to make you any promises, just money back guarantees. We are all biochemically different and what works for you (or the next guy) may not work for you next time. i.e. the last gout attack you had might be because you were drinking beer, this one might be because you were drinking whiskey – I can’t be responsible for what you do to yourself.
One thing is for sure, doing nothing is not going to get you any closer to being gout free. You have to learn what to do, then do it. Period. I want to help you.
I know you’ve got gout war stories to tell – I want to hear them. We all have them, and if you want to give a brief account of what happened and especially, how you got out of it, that would be really helpful to your fellow gout sufferer struggler. Leave a comment below!
Bottom-line: You’re not alone – don’t feel like you’ve got to be down and out with gout – you have millions of others like me that KNOW YOUR PAIN!
“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good! And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.” Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life. Prescription drugs were of limited help… And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible. Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now. Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle. Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours. And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD! So you can finally start LIVING again!
