Gout-TreatmentGout treatment falls into one of two categories: gout pain relief and gout prevention. There are two ways you can go about tackling treatment for gout conditions:

  • Pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Natural gout remedies.

Out of those two treatment choices, The Gout Killer knows natural remedies for gout are the more permanent therapeutic  solution because they are lifestyle choices. See, the best gout treatment is gouty arthritis prevention. It’s far easier and wiser to deal with a gout attack before it happens rather than waiting until it’s too late.

Let’s talk a little bit more about the types of gout remedies that are out there: the good, the bad and the ugly.

Pharmaceutical Drugs As A Gout Treatment

There are two particular conditions that drugs for gout attempt to manage: gout pain relief and the inhibition of uric acid. Allopurinol is the most widely used and tolerated drug for gout and it is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. It must be taken religiously every day for it to be effective.

Colchicine is another prescription drug that has gone through some expensive changes, and is a derivative of the autumn crocus plant. It has been used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory.

Thanks.

I am a banana and celery regular now.  Truly impressed with how quickly the BS and ACV dropped the inflammation and pain – for a whopping $1.50 trip to the grocery store!  Keep up the good work, the medical community has a lot to learn from you.

Thanks,
Vic

Natural Gout Remedies

The swelling and pain of gout is a result of an overly acidic internal environment. To gain control of it, there are a number of things you can take to help correct the imbalance. However there are also methods that can be applied externally to help relieve the localized pain and swelling.

Food as Gout Treatment

Foods and drinks that are alkalizing or alkaline-forming are one of the best treatments. Fresh fruits and vegetables are typically strong antioxidants and valuable for raising the pH of the body chemistry to a healthier alkaline level. High-quality water such as ionized alkaline water is the best thing to drink.

Herbs, herbal teas and naturopathic medicines can also be taken orally to help relieve pain and inflammation. One example is Arnica Montana, and it’s easily found at health food stores.

Vitamin and mineral supplements are also an essential component of treating gout. Water soluble vitamins like vitamin C and vitamin B should be taken every day. Fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, & K should be taken in the form of healthy fats and oils. Super green foods like Spirulina are very alkalizing and provide excellent amounts of minerals and trace minerals.

Topical Remedies for Gout

Soaking the gout-affected joint in warm water and Epsom salts is very alkalizing in a localized way. Alternating an Epsom salt soak of the joint with towel-wrapped icepacks is a fast topical gout treatment. Other ways you can treat the area is to use Arnica Montana gels and DMSO, both found at health food stores.
