How Does Sleep Kill Gout?
There are a couple of fundamental things to know about how sleep is critical to our overall health and therefore our efforts to kill gout.
Mainly, it all has to do with our livers doing the all important job of detoxification, and in order to do that, the liver has to be in a “parasympathetic state” – meaning that we need to be perfectly relaxed, with nothing else going on; no moving around, no conscious thinking, no digesting – no anything that we are typically doing in our waking hours.
There are so many toxic substances that make their way into our inner environment; what goes in our mouths, what we breathe, what comes in contact and goes through our skin, and even the toxic materials that are made by our very own metabolic processes…all that toxicity makes for a very acidic inner terrain that create the right conditions for gout to attack. That is what our livers have to deal with. And they don’t deal with it unless all our other conscious processes are shut down.

There is no one thing that causes gout…and, there is no one thing that will end a gout attack, and no one thing that will keep it from coming back. It is a whole “way of being” that will help you steer clear of the gout zone – Sleep is one component of that.
