It’s happened to you hasn’t it? It either happens when you’re just getting out the door for that dream vacation with the family, OR you’re headed to the opposite coast to pitch your proposal for that multi-million dollar account and BAM! Gout Attack! WHY does gout always seem to strike when your traveling?

If you are really serious about knowing how to travel with gout, there are some really good reasons you should know about as to why gout seems to sneak up on you when you’re on some sort of travel trip.

  • Anticipation
  • Unusual schedule
  • Unfamiliar surroundings

These are just three of the major reasons traveling and gout seem to go together. But guess what? I’ve got some excellent gout prevention T!PS for you!

Plan Your Mission

Sounds very “Tom Cruise” doesn’t it? It should – when planning an all-out adventure or a strategic deployment of your unique brilliance,  meticulous planning is ALWAYS required. If you’re going to be heading out soon, you need to be prepared with some spontaneous gout treatment ahead of time: Physically, Mentally, and Emotionally.

This is what you need to do three days before you go:

  • Breathe deep
  • Drink TONS of water
  • Don’t eat crap

So what is so different about that than any other day of living and dying with gout? Nothing. This is exactly what I’ve been telling you to do every day BUT, it’s not every day that you’re preparing for a dangerous mission. Gout sucks and if you’re the one traveling with gout, it sucks to be you.

Face it – you’re either all amp-ed up and excited about getting out of town, OR you’re scared to death, about to pee your pants that you have to get up in front of a combined total of $7.5B+ of resource holders to pitch your deal. Either way, it makes you stupid and you start eating crap, forget to drink your water, and then you breathe like a weasel.

It has been over a year since I’ve had an attack.

Hi Bert, sorry that our Guru had to go through running to a store to get your Magic Potion to hold off the enemy. But you knew just what to do. Since I’m retired, I don’t do a lot of traveling, so when I’ve had a problem it has been at home. Since I’ve followed your advice and lost weight and modified my diet, it has been over a year since I’ve had an attrack! With your advice I will even have some lobster tail when our son comes to visit from LA. ~ Ted

Make a Schedule

If you want to stop getting gout and especially stop getting gout when you’re on some sort of travel trip, you have to build in a contingency plan that includes your favorite gout home remedies.

Eat lots of vegetables and fruits in the days before. Make sure you get a good nights sleep. Work out consistently leading up to the trip. Then, you are physically ready to travel and NOT get gout.

Give yourself plenty of time to get yourself, the kids, and your wife all packed up and to the airport well ahead of schedule. We manufacture STRESS by the simple process of poor planning. Travel can be stressful and that’s one big reason traveling seems to bring on the gout. This is all about being prepared mentally and emotionally and exactly why your brain is the #1 weapon against a gout invasion.

Survey the Geography

This could be the most important part – when you get to your destination, locate the nearest grocery store and/or health food store. THEN, before you do ANYTHING else, go buy some apples, some celery, some baking soda, some cherry juice, some bananas, some apple cider vinegar, some Epsom salts, and some ginger tea. DO NOT let gout catch you with your pants down around your ankles!

To successfully kill the gout beast, you have to outsmart it.

Most of this stuff is only going to cost you a total of about 20 bucks – go buy it, bring it back to the hotel, start using ALL of it – gout treatment is all about gout prevention.

These are all the simple gout home remedies that you have at your house right?! Why would you get way the hell out there on some excellent adventure or dangerous mission without them?! I don’t know either!

Bert Middleton

“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good!  And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.” Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life. Prescription drugs were of limited help… And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible. Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain.  And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.

Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now. Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle. Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours. And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD! So you can finally start LIVING again!
